Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is a flowering plant in the family Zingiberaceae whose rhizome, ginger root or simply ginger, is widely used as a spice or a medicine. It is a herbaceous perennial which grows annual stems about a meter tall bearing narrow green leaves and yellow flowers. Ginger is indigenous to south China, and was spread eventually to the Spice Islands, other parts of Asia and subsequently to West Africa and the Caribbean. India is now the largest producer of ginger.

Our manufacturing processes for Ginger beadlets:

The powder of Ginger is mixed with other excipients in a high shear mixer and the wet mass is fed into a single screw or a twin-screw extruder, the wet extrudates are then fed in wet condition into a spheronizer. The spheronization time varies per product but in approximately 5 minutes the extrudates are converted into spherical round spheres which are then further dried in a fluid bed dryer then further coated in a bottom spray fluid bed coater when needed. A vacuum tray dryer is also used when the product demands sensitive drying.
